The Ensemble Company, a repertory company in residence at Penguin Point Productions located in the Oviedo Mall, continues its debut season with Nassim Soleimanpour’s White Rabbit, Red Rabbit. Among the most-talked about and least-talked about plays, White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is an utterly original, wildly imaginative experience.

With no rehearsal, no director, a different actor each night, and a script waiting in a sealed envelope on stage, this internationally acclaimed play is an audacious theatrical experience and a potent reminder of the transgressive and transformative power of theatre. Once the actor has performed the play, he or she may never again do so in public.

Since its joint premiere in 2011 in Edinburgh and Summerworks festivals, White Rabbit, Red Rabbit has been translated into over 25 different languages and been performed over 1000 times by some of the biggest names in theatre and film, including actors John Hurt, Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Lane, F. Murray Abraham, Wayne Brady, Bobby Cannavale, Darren Criss, Brian Dennehy, and Cynthia Nixon.

The Ensemble Company’s artistic director, Matthew MacDermid, has assembled four Orlando theatre legends for its run of White Rabbit, Red Rabbit this summer: David Lee will appear on Thursday, August 8th, 2019; John DiDonna on Friday, August 9th, 2019; Beth Marshall on Saturday, August 10th, 2019; and Roberta Emerson on Sunday, August 11th, 2019. Performances August 8th through 11th will be at 7:00pm with a 2:00pm matinee on August 11th.

White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is part of The Ensemble Company’s debut season in residence at Penguin Point Productions.
