THE SECRET GARDEN

THE STORY: After Mary Lennox is orphaned, she becomes the ward of an uncle in England she has never met. As she adjusts to her new life at secluded Misselthwaite Manor, Mary discovers a secret garden. If she can uncover the mysterious circumstances behind the garden, she might be able to save her sickly young cousin and melt the heart of her emotionally distant uncle. A touching coming-of-age story, based on the classic novel.

PLEASE NOTE: This show is the culmination of our Summer Camp for Grades 6-12. It is appropriate for all ages.

PRODUCTION NOTES: The play is presented by The Young Company at Penguin Point Productions in the Oviedo Mall, directed by Mackenzie Borglum and produced by James Brendlinger.

PARKING NOTE: When you arrive at the mall, watch for school buses in the parking lot. Park near the school buses and enter the mall under the blue canopy-covered walkway. Penguin Point will be the second store to your right when you enter this way. Be aware that some of the other mall exits are locked after 9pm, so if you’re coming to an evening show at Penguin Point it’s wise to park by this entrance.
