About The Event
THE STORY: Sibling rivalry, adultery, and dungeons – The Lion in Winter, by James Goldman, is a modern-day classic. Comedic in tone, dramatic in action – the play tells the story of the Plantagenet family, who are locked in a free-for-all of competing ambitions to inherit a kingdom.
PRODUCTION NOTES: The play is presented by The Ensemble Company at Penguin Point Productions in the Oviedo Mall, directed by Matthew MacDermid and produced by James Brendlinger.
TICKETS: Tickets are $20, seniors $18, and students with valid ID $16. If you have a group of 10 or more people who would like to see the show, call James at 407-310-8908 to make reservations and receive discounted group tickets.
PARKING NOTE: When you arrive at the mall, watch for school buses in the parking lot. Park near the school buses and enter the mall under the blue canopy-covered walkway. Penguin Point will be the second store to your right when you enter this way. Be aware that some of the other mall exits are locked after 9pm, so if you’re coming to an evening show at Penguin Point it’s wise to park by this entrance.
