She continued her education and experience with an apprenticeship with the Sarasota Ballet of Florida in the 90’s. In 2004 her teaching career began and she has never looked back. She is an accomplished and certified Cecchetti ballet instructor, but her real desire is to bring her passion for dance to anyone and everyone who wants to learn, and she is excited to bring dance to the Special Needs community!

Abbie Lynn Abbott is originally from Indiana, where she found her love for the performing arts at a very young age. Abbie has trained and performed in many styles of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater; as well as in piano, harp, and voice. Mrs. Abbott attended Ball State University in Muncie, IN, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Honors College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education, a Fine Arts Concentration, and a minor in Dance Education. She is also certified through the International Ballet Barre Fitness Association as a barre fitness instructor. Abbie has been blessed to have a variety of experiences (as a student, performer, and instructor) in Indiana, Kentucky, and Florida. Some of her most recent opportunities have been as choreographer for the musicals created and produced by Summit Church (two of which have been performed at the Orlando Fringe Festival). The accomplishment of which Abbie is most proud is her family - her husband of over 18 years and their three wonderful children. She is excited to join the team and be a part of Imagine Dance Academy.
Steven Johnson- Son, Dog Dad, Teacher. Steven discovered his passion for performing late in life. He is in his 14th year of teaching various styles of dance. When he is not at the studio, you can see him awkwardly gracing the stage around central Florida in various locations, sometimes with drag queens. Steven has been in many shows in the Central Florida area, but does not want to bore you with the details. Steven is always on the look out for a new opportunity or challenge and not afraid to embarrass himself to entertain others.
